Bob Turley

Mr. Turley is a founding partner of FireWise Consulting and an experienced Fire Service Executive Officer. Bob specializes in the areas of Fire Prevention and Fire Investigation, with a proven track record for developing and delivering innovative, high-quality training programs. As Deputy Fire Commissioner for the province of British Columbia, Bob oversaw the operations of four regional offices delivering a full range of fire, emergency response advisory services, and training programs to staff and 1,200 Local Assistants to the Fire Commissioner. Prior to that, Bob was the Regional Fire Commissioner, Kootenay Region, British Columbia and was responsible for the operation of the Regional office plus the delivery of services to local governments, fire, police and other interested parties. He also completed the task of developing and implementing fire prevention and fire investigation training programs serving approximately sixty fire departments. Bob has investigated 150 major fires, including fatal and high dollar loss incidents and has testified as an expert witness in fire investigation litigation cases, and taught Fire Investigation Education for over twenty-five years. In 2012, Bob was the recipient of the Queens Diamond Jubilee medal in recognition of his contributions to the BC Fire Service.
