Last month, a team of 11 wildland firefighters from the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) was dispatched to assist in battling the ongoing wildfires in Canada.
Among the DCR crew deployed to Quebec for a span of two weeks was Eryn Meinhardt-Donohoe.
Hailing from Sagamore Beach, Meinhardt-Donohoe is employed by DCR Forest Fire Control, operating from their District 1 base situated in Sandwich.
During their time in Canada, the crew frequently utilized helicopters to travel between various fire sites requiring extinguishing efforts.
