Korea Electric Power Corp. has introduced a cost-effective AI-based mountain fire monitoring system nationwide to enhance fire prevention, protect the power grid, prevent blackouts, and ensure safety. Utilizing existing infrastructure, the new system is 50% cheaper than traditional camera-based systems and boasts a 99% fire detection rate.
