When RJ Pena was just seven years old he was playing with his toys at his multi-generation family home when he heard the smoke alarm and smelled smoke. His quick actions to save the lives of his elderly great grandparents and call 911 have earned him the distinction of being the youngest person ever to receive a citizen commendation from Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services.
